Gateway to Dreams in St. Louis Post Dispatch

Gateway to Dreams is a nonprofit located in Chesterfield Mall, that was founded in 2013 to create positive possibilities in St. Louis. The organization helps people say ‘yes’ to their professional and personal dreams by providing plans, resources, introductions and accountability. Participants partner with coaches and experts who help turn goals and dreams into a reality. Gateway to Dreams also promotes area nonprofits to help them reach their goals.

Founder Karen S. Hoffman was inspired to launch the organization through a series of magical events. From a meltdown on a highway, to a connection in a coffee shop, to a couple of books on the importance of dreams (“The Dream Giver,” by Bruce Wilkinson and “The Dream Manager,” by Matthew Kelly), Hoffman turned her ideas into a reality. Gateway to Dreams on Nine Network

Nine Network of Public Media offers digital story telling training to individuals and organizations to help them tell and share their stories of impact. On November 15, 2013 Nine Academy participants screened their digital stories. In this video, Nine Community Producer Karen S.Hoffman turns the spotlight on Gateway to Dreams, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals reach their dreams. Everyone has a dream, this community of authors, coaches, experts, and motivators aim to inspire, encourage, and support anyone willing to pursue it.

West News Magazine | 2019 Impact Awards

Last year, Hoffman launched The Gateway to Dream’s Impact Awards.The awards were created to recognize and celebrate people and organizations in the St. Louis metropolitan area that exhibit a kind and giving heart. This year, six individuals or organizations will be recognized at a celebration event on April 25 at The Business Lodge at Chesterfield Mall in the former Sears wing on the first floor for “stirring hope, inspiration and kindness in others.”  Read the full article…
